Elletaria cardamomum


Called the Queen of Spices in India, cardamom exhibits lovely high notes of citrus & eucalyptus.

It sets all kinds of Indian blends in motion, the Garam Masala of the northern Mountains, the Chai Masala which has so endeared itself to the western world, or simply paired with rose petals in a delicate rice pudding.

Somehow, cardamom pear or apple cakes have become one of the highlights of Scandinavian life. It is a truly stunning example of plant chemistry.
